About Us

Steamship Grill and Bar takes you back to the time of hand shaken cocktails, fresh caught local seafood and the service reminiscent of the steamship era. Step outside to Victoria’s most stunning harbour view. Dine on our heated and covered patio enjoying premium wines and spirits.

Fresh & Local

In Victoria we are blessed with world class seafood, produce, cheeses and artisan breads just minutes from our door. Fresh local halibut, fresh sockeye and spring salmon, oysters, mussels, clams and scallops are abundant. Island fresh dairy, an array of cheeses and world class wine from the Okanagan await. Enjoy where we live and enjoy fresh and local.

Inspired West Coast Food

Our menu creations reflect the ever increasing abundance of freshness that British Columbia’s west coast has to offer. We buy local with an emphasis on fresh, west coast seafood. With craft beer from some of Victoria’s finest micro breweries, and a wine list featuring both BC and globally inspired wine, Steamship Grill & Bar aims to satisfy even the most discerning palates.

A Legendary Location

We’re also inspired by the historical significance of our surroundings. Built in 1924, the Heritage Steamship Terminal building is an important landmark in the history of Victoria, BC. Designed by Francis Rattenbury in the Beaux-Arts style, it was the building that welcomed steamship passengers from all over the world. Now open to the public with a gift shop commemorating the history, the Heritage Steamship Terminal is a great place to enjoy a delicious seafood meal.
